New z-lift design using EMT conduit. Taller Prusa style printer from bad clone, without longer lead screws, rods and frame.
Inspired by the MPCNC and Povey's Filament drive.

Do you know what an MPCNC is? I really prefer questions to be asked in the forums, the way FB is set up I don't notified of the replies and there have been a few too many wrong answers for my liking. I was hoping this would be more of a show and tell sharing space, not really a troubleshooting advice section.

Anyone using Fusion 360 CAM ? I have Estlcam 8 but moving from Sketchup to F360 for drawing new stuff and wonder if I can CAM it there too.

Just for curiosity, I made a test cut on pine using a 3.17mm (0.125in) diameter 2 flute endmill. 100x100 outside cut, 80x80 internal cut, circle 70mm dia outside cut , 50mm dia internal cut, and a 25x25 outside shows the actual measurements. Cutting parameters 5mm z depth at 1mm increments, 800mm/min feed, 30k rpm.

Did the first router test today. Using basswood so relatively high speeds and feeds. Was not pleased with the linear finish and managed to cut my wood piece too small but it was a good start.

Anyone used MeshCam with an MPCNC using Marlin? I'm trying to find a way to try carving some of the greyscale relief images I'm finding that look amazing when carved with a CNC (So I'm open to alternatives to Meshcam, except for Apsire 🙂 )
