Working on a project for a buddy of mine which gave me an excuse to try a carving.  Used some red oak scrap for the test run.

Post processor – estlcam, took a lot longer as it bounced all over the place.  Suggestions welcome on settings for cutting down on the time

    settings: doc 3.5, speed 12mm/s, 5% stepover

Bit – 1/4” v-bit 60 degree from Whiteside Machinery – US company in NC, performed well.

    Ohhh, that looks nice!

Carve is a bit wonky with it’s pathing for sure, but man it looks nice when it’s finished. Stepover is the biggest factor after the path itself. I actually haven’t tried a carve of fusion to see if it is any better.
