Nice work! I wish I had that much area to work with! Lots of room for toys…March 29, 2019 at 9:30 am #94912

Nice build and it is already dirty….Perfecto!April 6, 2019 at 8:34 am #95811
I built the table as I went so I don’t have a cut list but here are some pictures of the dimensions I ended up with. I spent a lot of time working on getting it level and square like Ryan is always preaching 🙂 I used some really nice MDF from Home Depot that was 49″ x 97″ a sheet so one inch larger both dimensions than 4’x8′ for my base and then also my spoil board. I’m planning to print some corner pieces that will help align a full sheet of plywood. I cut my X rails at 5′ so I had a little extra room to play with.

One more of my table thickness. I used 2x3s for the structure so I could keep my overall table thickness down. Since the spoil board is smaller than the table, the Y assemblies don’t have to account for it.

I designed and printed my alignment corners and got my emergency stops installed. This was the first time I ever modeled anything in Fusion 360 and then printed it so that was too fun!

I’m gonna copy your build Dan 🙂 Thanks for all the links.
I’ve got those Irwin clamps too love them – are you using them to hold down your material?
Keeping the spoil board smaller than the table is smart – it’ll make it much easier to replace.
And would you mind sharing the STLs for your alignment corners? If I copy you, they should work, right?
Are there any other STLs that are specific to a successful 4×8 ? No one’s snuck a pineapple coupler into their build yet? haMay 22, 2019 at 11:49 am #101283
