    Hi,

Is there a reason why the X & Y steppers are wired serially and not using the DUAL_STEPPER_DRIVERS options on Marlin FW?

    Thanks!

Default is serial wiring for simplicity. The dual endstop configuration uses dual drivers.

Not all boards have 5 drivers.

    Thanks for the responses!

If using a Rambo that does have 5 drivers. Is there any advantage on using dual stepper drivers? I understand that a downside would be maintaining a branched FW.

Autosquaring is the biggest advantage – I believe Ryan has a demo video on the dual endstop page. I like the feature myself, but it does bump up the complexity a little. Didn’t bother me one bit, though.
