    Hi everyone!

Regarding the rigidity it can’t go wrong. But the question is – can the steppers manage moving such heavy rails? For the frame it is of course good, but the rails carying the spindle are also heavy. I calculated the weight together with the spindle and it is 9,35 kg (20,61 lbs).

    Thanks

Nope, unless you like watching grass grow, or paint dry.

It’s gonna be slow. Your carves will come out good with that much weight as I think it will add to stability. The whiplash of changing directions the higher up you go will be an issue. Basically limit to 2D or low 3D stuff and you’ll be fine.

    Hi,

Z not returning to clearance plane at end of job, before returning to home. Using Estlcam, with Repetier host, and can’t find and

    parameters to address this.
