What end mills do I want 1/8 in or 1/4 inch 1 flute or 2 flute ?  I will mostly be cutting oak and cherry 3/4 to 1 inch.  24 x 30 x 4 cut area

I’m loving single flute bits lately. Try both sizes in a single flute, 1/8″ works great but if your design allows a 1/4″ might work.

Depends on your rpm. If you are running a slower spindle, lets say anything under 20k rpm, a double flute might be worth getting. 1/4″ is a lot more demanding on the machine but can be the smarter choice depending on the job at hand.

A larger bit is harder to drag through the material as it takes larger bites out of it, putting more torque on the machine and frame.

OK thank you it is almost time for me to order parts and start to build 🙂 I hope you don’t run out of kits before I order 🙂
