    Hi

    I was wondering what changes to make to marlin firmware to account for 16 microstepping , as I have downloaded the firmware from Vicious1 (thank !)

    My stepper drivers are A4988 and I believe with the 3 jumpers are 16 microsteps, firmware I have is 32 microsteps

    Board is Ramps 1.4

    Steps per mm need to be changed to match your pulleys, steppers, step rate.

    my settings-

    #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 200, 200, 4535.44, 200 } //MPCNC

     

    this firmware said 32 microstep / t8 leadscrew

    i havent adjusted voltage yet , but some hesitation for motor to drive machine at this stage,

    I will need to count my pully teeth

    and put settings into this-

    My settings are DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 100, 100, 400, 100 }.

    That’s for 1.8 degree NEMA17, 16 tooth pulley & GT2 belt / T8 leadscrew with 4 starts and 2mm pitch, 16 microsteps.

    The 4535.44 steps per mm you have on the Z axis seem super weird and off, that’s probably the setting for a threaded rod, definitely not correct for a T8 leadscrew…

    Z axis wasn’t doing much !!

    I have 20 tooth pulley on X, Y, so i think i will try

    80,80,400
